The November Edit

Hello, and happy December! It has been a whirlwind month over here, with tons of work and things that need to be done before the holidays. Projects around the house have been slower than normal. My mom and sister came to visit me in October so we pause it for a while. Right now we are saving up for the next one.

We’ve all been through so much in 2020 and 2021, so this was my first time celebrating a “normal” Thanksgiving. There’s something really special about sharing a meal with people you love, and I missed it so much! We gathered with some friends, and it was also Brazil’s first game in this World Cup (we won!).

I’ll be headed to Brazil to celebrate Christmas and New Year’s Eve this year, and I can’t wait for summer weather.

So as we step into this holiday season, I thought it’d be fun to cover in one post a few things that I’m enjoying over the past several weeks. Here is what I’ve been into lately…

The Best of November

To ReadMaybe You Should Talk to Someone by Lori Gottlieb and E se eu parasse de comprar by Joana Moura (portuguese).

To WatchThere are so many great new releases, and my recent must-watch is White Lotus (season 2), Abbott Elementary, The Watcher, and The World Cup (of course).

To ListenMidnights by Taylor Swift is playing on repeat. Podcasts are my favorite form of media, and I love listening to a wide variety of genres. I have a few favorites but my #1 is Nao Inviabilize (only in portuguese — perfect while I’m working and cooking).

To Eat: We drove to Toledo, OH to try Mancy’s. It’s a 120 years old restaurant with very cozy architecture and great beef.

Wearing On Repeat: This sweater and craving winter whites.

Beauty Obsession: Vitamin C.

Recent Purchases — What I bought lately

  1. New Balance Sneakers // I’ve been wearing these New Balance 300 Series Sneakers everywhere! I love the way you can pair them with chic outfits, adding just a hint of casualness.
  2. Biossance Sunshine Set // Honestly, I just bought this set because of vitamin C. I love Biossance products, but they can be pricy. I got a great deal on this set on Black Friday.
  3. My New Favorite Sweater // I have been wearing this sweater from Banana Republic nonstop (hello Michigan friends). The silhouette and colors are so classic. I got the classic camel color in size XXS.
  4. Tanning Drops // It’s my first time trying Tan-Luxe drops. I mix this with moisturizer and leave it on overnight for a natural glow and tan on my face. I’m using light/medium shade.
  5. Pearl Hoop Earrings // I discovered these Pearl Pendant Mini Hoop Earrings and have been wearing them frequently and will be doing so throughout the holidays. They go with everything and you can remove the pearl if you want to.
  6. Apple Watch // Another Black Friday purchase. I like it keeps up with my health. I’m still getting adjusted to the notifications and all the available features.
  7. 1.5” Curling Iron // I’ve been using my T3 voluminous convertible base interchangeable with my 1” curling convertible barrel for the past years, but 2 weeks ago I bought this 1 1/2” convertible barrel and I gotta say…I haven’t gone back. I’m loving the loose waves it gives me right off the bat.
